“What I advise you to do is, not to be unhappy before the crisis comes; since it may be that the dangers before which you paled as if they were threatening you, will never come upon you; they certainly have not yet come.”
Becoming unhappy about what may happen in the future weighs down our heart and soul. Plan yes, but I think it best to avoid creating scenarios of gloom. Of what value is that? Instead, why not put all that energy into imagining a future full of light?
