I found the warning sign above marking a park trail. Of course I went up it. I see signs like this in the same way that I think a bull sees a waving red flag. The path was a bit steep, a bit slippery, and it took my whole attention as moss and rocks and other small plants went by at eye level.
It was so worth it because the view from the top was beautiful.
At the start of new things – it’s often difficult, maybe even overwhelming, but so exciting to get charged, and plan, and then go for it. What do we have to lose?
Ok, ok, that brings to mind a somersault I once planned on doing while going up a ski chairlift with my friends. Those were our exact words, what do we have to lose? Well, in fact, when we got off the chair, and I went over the jump, I did lose my front teeth…But hey, a little pain now and then is good to remind us of our mortality…and how wonderful dentists are – and that they use freezing!
