Thackeray’s quote is delightful! I smiled when I read it.
Another quote by Thackeray
“The world is a looking glass

A good thought…if we find the world looking glumly at us,
then perhaps it’s time to check on our facial expressions that we are showing to others.
I must admit, pushing the wrong button on my iPhone reflects a close-up image
of my perplexed face peering down at it that can be surprisingly shocking!
And finally, Thackeray’s quote about laughter
“A good laugh is sunshine in the house.”
Isn’t it a pleasure to hear a good hearty chuckle!
Rather than searching for things to worry about,
we can search for things to smile about,
to join with others in a moment of heart-warming laughter.
A great practice… to share some “sunshine.”
