Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving love creates love.”

Kind people are around us – they are a treasure to meet!
A few weeks ago I had driven for a couple of hours to attend a meeting. I was at an intersection turning off the main highway when a red warning light on my dash suddenly appeared next to the turn signal. Once I was free of the intersection and made it to the cross road, I felt a sudden thumping; it felt like the engine had fallen to the ground. Luckily there was room to pull over, and I discovered that it was a flat tire. I was in a borrowed car and arranging for the badly cut tire to be fixed took an age and made me very late for my meeting.
As I sat in the car by the side of the road for over an hour, I thought how useful it was to have a cell phone, because no one had stopped to see if I was ok or offered to help, and I was a very long walk from a service station. At that very moment, a truck which was going the other way pulled a U-turn and parked behind me. A man came up to my window with a smile, asked if I was ok, and did I need help in changing the tire. It was cold out, and there was a nasty wind blowing. I looked at him in wonder, he was not like all the hundreds of other drivers who had zipped by me, staring fixedly ahead. This lovely person stopped in an instant and offered to give up his time and comfort to help a stranger on the road. His act of kindness inspired me to be kinder too. What a gift.
