I am content;
that is a blessing greater than riches;
and he to whom that is given need ask no more.
~Mipham Rinpoche (1846-1912)
I remember a wonderful holiday to the Hawaiian islands. During our stay, we blew the budget one night and went out for dinner and a show. At the next table sat a couple who avoided eye contact with each other, checked their cell phones, and even from a distance, looked miserable. I thought of the magic of the islands, the warm sun, white sandy beaches, deep blue seas, the thrill to be at this show, and I saw so clearly in the faces of this couple that only with contentment, can you enjoy the allure of a beautiful island, a gorgeous flower.
