This has to be one of the most beautiful Novembers we’ve had in a long time. Today while walking I met the same fellow I met yesterday going to the park. But today I remembered to take off my bike helmet after my ride. I wonder what he thought yesterday seeing me walk Baloo along the path with my bike helmet on. Mind you, it was warm and cozy!
Later I met another man who is 87 – Frank – and he told me that he has a cat named Alexander the Great F#$@% Cat and there’s a short video of this quite extraordinary cat on YouTube, following him around, getting in and out of his car, and swimming. This I have to check out. He told me that I have lovely eyes. Oh my!
Walking further into the woods, I got into denser undergrowth – that’s Baloo leading the way – and of course I came to a place where the path branched left and right, a choice has to be made.
I didn’t have a clue where I was going, so it was fun, delicious! I finally came out where the sun was shining in a glade. I looked up at the towering trees above me and was so happy to have found this spot.
Walking further along, I came to this interesting garden object and met a very nice lady named Gwen who teaches dance, she was so nice, she invited me in. My goodness, does island living get any better than this?
Well yes, actually it does. As I left the trail already thinking about what I was going to do next, something made me stop and look back. It was a breathtaking sight, the setting sun shining through the trees, and I would have missed it completely if I hadn’t paused to enjoy in that moment just where I was, where I had been.
